Maurice Farman S.7 Longhorn N5035 at Redcar aerodrome.

On 6th July 1917 this RNAS Flying School aeroplane was wrecked on landing at RNAS Redcar aerodrome. It is believed that it was this aeroplane that struck and damaged Longhorn N5036, JN-4 3440 and JN-4 8847 that were also damaged on this date.

Longhorn N5035 was built by Brush E.E. Co. Ltd. at Loughborough and was delivered to RNAS Redcar by road on 15th November 1916. It was assembled, tested and accepted at Redcar on 11th January 1917 and joined the RNAS Flying School. Following damage sustained at Redcar on 6th July 1917 it was not repaired and was deleted as deemed beyond economic repair on 9th September 1917.
