Armstrong Whitworth F.K.8 B5794 at Doncaster aerodrome.

On 29th September 1917 this aeroplane was being flown from the Aircraft Acceptance Park at Newcastle to Doncaster aerodrome. Having reached Doncaster the aeroplane flew too close to a building and in making a turn to avoid a collision the pilot lost control, the aeroplane then sideslipped and crashed. The pilot sustained injuries.

Frederick Fenwick was killed on 24th March 1919 when Bristol Fighter F4361 crashed into a kite balloon cable while still serving as a ferry pilot with AAP Newcastle. He is buried at St.Nicholas Cemetery, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
