Maurice Farman S.11 Shorthorn A6869 (probably) at Bramham Moor.
Details of this incident come from the notes of Captain Amos Allan Denison MC who was a flying instructor at No.68 Training Squadron based at Bramham Moor. It states that on 16th June 1917 this Shorthorn was flown by the named pilot for fifteen minutes who went solo but then crashed and was slightly damaged.
Pilot - Lt P S Waddell RFC.
The service file of Lt Waddell states that he was with No.68 Training Squadron from 5th May 1917 to 19th June 1917 and was then posted to No.51 Training Squadron. The incident at Bramham clearly must have occurred between the dates he was training there. He resigned his commission on 9th February 1918.
