HMA Rigid airship No.9r at RNAS Howden.
On 29th October 1917 this airship took off from RNAS Cranwell to patrol an area of the coast of Lincolnshire. Owing to bad weather then airship was recalled to Cranwell due to the weather the crew were then ordered to divert to RNAS Howden. It reached Howden by 15.20hrs and while being taken into a shed in a strong wind it was damaged. The repair was estimated to take two weeks but it did not fly again until 14th February 1918. The captain of it when it arrived at Howden on 29th October 1917 was Sqn.Cdr. George Herbert Scott.
