F.E.2b 4924 at Catterick aerodrome.
On 23rd June 1917 this No.46 Training Squadron took off from Catterick aerodrome and climbed normally to around fifty feet. Then, for some reason, the pilot appeared to reduce power to the engine, the aeroplane stalled. The pilot did not regain control and it dived into the ground nose first near or on the aerodrome site.
