Avro 504a 2934 at Redcar.

On 1st September 1917 this RNAS Flying School aeroplane sustained damage to it's fuselage in an accident at Redcar.

Pilot - Name unknown.


Avro 504 2934 was built by S.E. Saunder Ltd for the RFC and was transferred direct from the RFC to RNAS Redcar on 21st May 1916. It was damaged at Redcar in an accident on 4th July 1917 and was repaired. Following a second accident on 1st September 1917 there is no record of a repair being done before the surveyers made their visit to Redcar on 7th December 1917. It was deleted from stock with effect of 14th December 1917, deemed as "wrecked".
