Unidentified aeroplane in the Teesdale area.
At around noon on Sunday, 28th January 1917 an unidentified aeroplane made a forced landing somewhere in the Teesdale area owing to engine trouble. A very vague mention of the incident featured in a Teesdale Mercury newspaper article. It also stated that the nose of the aeroplane sustained damage and that it was removed later the same night on a motor trolley for repair. Depending on where this incident occurred it may be inside the Yorkshire boundary so I have created a webpage. More information required.
