On 24th January 1917 this RNAS Flying School aeroplane crashed in the Redcar area but no further details are currently known.
Pilot - Name unknown.
Avro 504 1486 was built by Brush EE Co. Ltd. of Loughborough and was delivered to RNAS Redcar on 13th March 1916, it was tested and accepted there on 31st March 1916. It appears to have served with the RNAS Flying School throughout it's service. Following damage sustained on 16th April 1916 and 29th October 1916 it was repaired but a third incident on 24th January 1917 saw it written off. It was finally deleted from stock on 14th February 1917.
