On 23rd August 1916 this RNAS Flying School aeroplane suffered engine failure during a test flight over the Redcar area, the pilot attempted to a landing but the aeroplane was damaged.
Pilot - Name unknown.
Longhorn 8932 was built by Brush EE Co Ltd of Loughbrough and was transported to RNAS Redcar on 23rd August 1916. There is no record of it being accepted so it was probably in the process of being tested at Redcar, possibly on it's first flight when the mishap occurred on 23rd August 1916. There is no record of any repair happening but it remained on the RNAS Redcar books until 25th June 1917 when it was deleted from stock.
