Bristol Boxkite 8449 at Redcar.

On 1st February 1916 this aeroplane was badly damaged at Redcar after a skid broke on landing during a flight with the RNAS Flying School. The damage was assessed and it was deemed not worthy of repair, it was reduced to being used for spares and was deleted from stock on 3rd February 1916. The Boxkite had been built by Bristol Aeroplane Company at Filton and was delivered to Redcar for erection on 15th November 1915.
