Avro 504 7730 (probably) at Beverley aerodrome.
On 27th August 1916 the pilot of this No.36 Reserve Squadron aeroplane lost control on the ground, presumably at their home aerodrome of Beverley and crashed. The pilot sustained injuries but the casualty card does not state any other details in respect of the incident. It does however state that he was taken off flying and was returned to army unit having lost his nerve to fly.
Pilot - Capt Kendall Trelawny Blamey RFC. Injured.
Kendall Blamey had previously served in the Lancashire Fusiliers and returned to the regiment. He was latr awarded the Military Cross, Gazetted on 3rd June 1918 for service in France. Elsewhere on the internet it is claimed that he was later awarded a Bar to the Military Cross though I have been unable to find the entry in the London Gazette to prove this.
