Caudron G.III 3868 at Skipsea.
During the afternoon of 27th July 1915 this aeroplane took off from RNAS Hornsea with the pilot making a practice flight. After twenty five minutes in the air and while flying near Skipsea,
the aeroplane's engine failed so the pilot made a forced landing there. The problem was fixed and it was flown back to RNAS Hornsea the following day.
