Unidentified Slingsby T.3 Primary nacelled "Dagling" glider damaged at Sutton Bank.

Beginning on Sunday, 28th May 1939 the Yorkshire Gliding Club ran an instruction gliding course at their Sutton Bank site. The week long course was attended by fourteen members, some of whom had gliding certificates already. While some members gained A and B Certificates during the week unfortunately the wind was blowing from the wrong direction for most of the week so longer flights that were required to gain a C-Cerificate were not possible. During the course of the week a numnber of the gliders sustained damage. Unfortunately the club report in Sailplane and Glider magazine was very vague as to which glider was damaged and by whom. One glider that is mentioned as having sustained damage on more than one occasion but with no record of the date is the "nacelled" which sustained a damaged nacelle when "one or two heftier members damaged the side" of it. This was presumably the nacelled Dagling.
