Slingsby Falcon I BGA.226 glider at Sutton Bank.

On Sunday, 4th August 1935 Fred Slingsby brought a Falcon I glider to the Sutton Bank gliding site so that it could be flown by Yorkshire Gliding Club members. After lunch six pilots had turns at flying it. On the final flight a pilot made a low turn while landing and tore off the skid.

Pilot - Bell.

Who the pilot was I have yet to determine. There was a G L Bell of the London Gliding Club who passed his glider pilot C and B Certificates prior to this date.
Here it is worth noting that around this date the Yorkshire Gliding Club had 1x Hols-der-Teufel 1, 1x Hols-der-Teufel 2, 1x Dickson primary and a Cloudcraft Phantom of their own and also the use of 1x Falcon I, 1x Professor and 1x Stedman gliders that were privately owned.
