Unidentified Slingsby T.1 Falcon I glider at Sutton Bank.
On 28th September 1937 members of the Yorkshire Gliding Club carried out gliding from the Sutton Bank gliding site. The Falcon I was landed heavily during the day which caused the rear spar of a wing to break.
The Yorkshire Gliding Club had the use of two Falcon's by this date. BGA.226 was being used from August 1935 until it was sold to Jersey Gliding Club (possibly) in July 1937 and BGA.266 that arrived on 29th May 1936 and was used until being sold to the Furness Gliding Club. This perhaps suggests that it was BGA.266 that was damaged at Sutton Bank in September 1937.
