The Hunt Sailplane.
The Hunt Sailplane was a 52 foot wingspan glider built by John Hunt at Thirsk. The glider was not registered with the BGA. On 25th May 1937 it was taken to the gliding site at Sutton Bank to be flown but was damaged on its first launch.
Pilot - Name unknown.
The glider appears to have been repaired and later flown successfully to be then placed in store during WW2. Post-WW2 it resurfaced but was later wrecked when blown over at an unknown location.
