On 19th May 2010 this aircraft had flown from Fishburn airfield, Durham to the Scarborough area (possibly Eddsfield airfield) and when the incident occurred the aircraft was making the return flight to Fishburn. After suffering engine trouble the pilot force landed the aircraft at around 09.35hrs near Marshall Farm and Runswick Bay Caravan Site in Hinderwell Lane. The aircraft was slightly damaged but the pilot and his passenger were able to make their way from the site to a nearby house. The cause of the engine trouble may have been carburettor icing.
