At 15.30hrs on 31th July 1992 this powered glider was to have been flown on a local soaring flight but on take off the pilot made a longer than normal ground run. Prior to lifting off the motor glider crossed rough ground and the uneven edge of a footpath that also crossed the runway which caused damage to the undercarriage. The pilot found that after he took off he could not raise the wheel so climbed, shut down the engine and landed back at the gliding site normally. At the time of this incident it was registered to David Hodgson (of Redcar) and John McCormack (of Middlesbrough).
