Schleicher Ka-6E BGA.2929 at Sutton Bank.
At 14.30hrs on 6th August 1985 after two hours of flight and with a storm approaching the pilot decided to return to Sutton Bank to land but encountered turbulence during his landing circuit and approach to land. The glider then bounced on landing, a wing dropped and it ground looped during which it received damage. In the 1984-85 British Soaring Handbook this glider is listed as registered to T.Booker of Winwick, Cheshire.
