Schleicher Ka-6E BGA.1640 near Sutton Bank.

On 27th July 1992 on the take off from Sutton Bank the tug aircraft flew much higher than the glider. Fearing that the glider could not climb and that the tug would be dragged down the pilot released the cable and force landed in a field below the airstrip sustaining some damage.

Pilot - Name unknown.

This glider was given it's certificate of airworthiness in April 1971 and was previously registered as AGA.2. It was registered to P.R.Norrison, of Pocklington, in the 1986-87 Yearbook. Who owned it in 1992 is not known.
