Scheibe SF-25B Falke G-AXEO at Carlton Moor.

On 23rd July 1987 the a pupil was being given instruction in the air by an instructor at the Carlton Moor gliding site. During a circuit of the site and over the landing site the aircraft drifted towards the ground in a crosswind and despite the instructor applying power the aircraft stalled. The nose pitched down and it landed heavily on the front main wheel, the propeller struck the ground and the fuselage was damaged.

This aircraft was repaired and is seen at Bagby in 1989 in an Air Britain photograph. It later twice crashed at Milfield airfield, Northumberland; firstly on 13th June 1998 and secondly on 9th July 2005.
