On 18th October 1992 this glider had just taken off from Sutton Bank with an aero-tow when it flew into a rain shower. The pilot decided to land but was blinded by a combination of rain and the low sun. In manoeuvering to see through the canopy side a heavy landing was made 17.00hrs at or near the Sutton Bank gliding site and it sustained damage. The identity of the glider is not known.
