On Tuesday, 21st December 1954 the pilot of this Central Gunnery School aircraft lost control while flying in cloud. Shortly before midday the aircraft dived into a ploughed field near High Drewton Farm and the pilot was killed. The farm, between Drewton and High Hunsley, has since been demolished. Nothing else is known about the incident at the time of creating this webpage.
