Hornet F.3 PX351 at Linton on Ouse airfield.

On 12th January 1950 this No.64 Squadron aircraft was being flown on a night flight as part of "Operation New Year" and, while turning to make his final approach to land at Linton on Ouse airfield, the aircraft stalled at fifty feet and crashed in undershoot area. This aircraft had flown as No.3 in a formation and it was thought possible that it had flown into the slipstream of an aircraft in front. The pilot was killed in the crash.
