This aircraft was on chagre with No.24 Elementary Flying Training School (E.F.T.S.). On 12th April 1945 this aircraft took off from Sealand airfield to undertake a day time cross country navigation exercise. During the flight the aircraft entered cloud while flying over the Peak District, around ninety minutes after taking off the aircraft crashed onto a hillside near Chew Reservoir and the pilot was sadly killed.
