Spitfire BL569 somewhere in Yorkshire.
On or around 30th April 1942 this 19 Squadron aircraft is believed to have been damaged and with the unit being based Hutton Cranswick in Yorkshire the assumption is made that the aircraft was damaged either in the County or on Ops and was able to make a safe landing back at base. The aircraft was taken to Westlands initially for repair but after further inspection it was deemed too badly damaged to warrant the repair and was written off.
