Wellington Z1279 at Holme on Spalding Moor airfield.

On the 23rd of September 1941 this aircraft was parked at Holme on Spalding Moor airfield when it was struck by a contractors steam roller, the aircraft sustained damage to the port elevator and was later repaired.

458 Squadron ORB is available for viewing on the Australian National Archives website, the page detailing this incident is poorly copied but does appear to show that Z1279 was delivered to 458 Squadron from 45 MU, Kinloss on 16th September 1941.
