Oxford V3222 near Hood Green, Barnsley.

On the 27th of September 1941 this pilot was undertaking a training flight out of Cranwell when he became lost in fog in the Barnsley area, after running low on fuel he abandoned the aircraft and landed safely. The aircraft crashed in the region of Hood Green, Barnsley but the exact location is not yet known.
