Tiger Moth "6789" at Yeadon airfield.
On the 1st of September 1941 this aircraft was taxying at Yeadon airfield in a strong wind, the aircraft
was blown against a sandbagged barricade which slightly damaged the aircraft. The pilot escaped injury. The aircrafts
identity is not fully known, the unit ORB gives it as "6789" which should be followed by a letter. It may have been T6789.
Pilot - LAC Robert Gibson MacDonald (655241), uninjured.
After training at Yeadon he later trained with 36 SFTS in Penhold, Alberta and left there in May 1942. He appears to have survived the War.
