Spitfire K9902 near "Stillbottle", Yorkshire.

This incident almost certainly occured near Shilbottle, Northumberland but has been included until this can be confirmed.

On the 20th of April 1940 this aircraft is believed to have force landed after a collision, the location is uncertain but "Stillbottle, Yorkshire" has been quoted but given it was based at Acklington at the time then Shilbottle seems a more likely and correct location with it being located much closer to Acklington. I have included it on this page until this can be confirmed. It is mentioned in 60 MU record book as being recovered on 22nd April 1940 and being struck off charge on 6th May 1940.

Pilot - Unknown, ok.
