B.E.2e C7100 near Doncaster aerodrome.

During the morning of 27th October 1918 this No.47 Training Depot Station aeroplane was being flown low in the general area of Doncaster aerodrome, where it was based, when the engine began to fail. The pilot made flat left hand turn, probably to line up with the aerodrome site, but the flying speed was insufficient. It stalled and spun into the ground near the aerodrome at 11.45hrs and caught fire. The pilot was killed in the accident.
