On 27th October 1917 this No.49 Training Squadron, Royal Flying Corps aeroplane dived into the ground near Doncaster killing the pilot.
Pilot - 2Lt Leanord Judah Fleet RFC, aged 22. Buried Manchester (Philips Park) Cemetery, Lancashire.
Leonard Fleet was the son of Solomon and Laura Fleet and was born on 15th May 1895. The family lived at Fallowfield, Manchester. He had worked at the Royal Aircraft Establishment prior to being appointed to a commission in the RFC. I credit "www.jewsfww.uk" with the photograph shown above.
