On 15th December 1916 this No.14 Reserve Squadron aeroplane stalled and crashed while landing at Catterick aerodrome. The pilot was killed in the accident.
Pilot - Lt Reginald Robinson Gaskell RFC, aged 27. Buried Hull Northern Cemetery, Yorkshire (36.79).
Very little is known about Reginald Gaskell other than he had previously served in the Royal Engineers and had served in France in 1915. He appears to have held no Royal Aero Club Aviators' Certificate.
