Wellington at East Moor airfield.

The details regarding this incident are very vague and brief. The only mention currently located of it is in passing in Brian Shields book "Eastmoor Experience" He states that Wellington "-V" was damaged in a crash whilst taking off on the 28th of March 1943. Nothing further is known. Wellington DF625 is believed to have carried the code "-V", which flew on Ops after this date. Wellington BK499 could fit the bill but that was coded "-J".
