Aircraft accidents in Ryedale during 1943. All incidents, whether they be on airfields, close to airfields or on land away from airfields are included in this list. By this stage in the War, East Moor had been fully operational for some time. Crews completing their training in the four-engine bombers used Wombleton's Heavy Conversion Unit as one of their training bases and this station's activities had begun and conditions here during the 1943-44 Winter were harsh. Here it would be correct of me to credit Graham Sharpe for the aircraft histories and to Mr Hugh Halliday for his extensive and excellent work in documenting RCAF Honours and Awards.
