the Proctor caught fire during engine start up on 29th July 1943, the aircraft
burnt out and was destroyed. It was being used by Clifton's Station flight within

Proctor P6193 was ordered as Vega Gull and was built to contract 975967/39 by Percival Aircraft Ltd at Luton but came off
the production line as a Proctor MkI. It was delivered into MU storage in June 1940. It's life thereafter is somewhat unclear but it
is known to have been issued initially to Woolsington Station Flight (date not known), then after a further period of MU storage it was
issued to No.2 SS (Signals School) at Yatebury which was re-designated No.2 Radio School on 1st January 1943. On an unspecified date later in 1943,
again after a period of MU storage, it was issued to Clifton Station Flight and was written off with Cat.E2/Burnt damage recorded on 29th July 1943.
