Halifax NP736 damaged by flak, returned to East Moor airfield.
During the evening of 12th September 1944 the crew of this aircraft was tasked with an operational flight to bomb
a synthetic oil manufacturing plant at Wanna Eickel, a number of aircraft were hit by flak over the target including this one. This aircraft returned home to East Moor after it had been hit in the port wing and the instrument panel suffered damage. The landing time of
this aircraft is not known and it may have been in the early hours of 13th September 1944.
