Lancaster ND656 at Wombleton airfield.

The Lancaster had landed without incident on 24th March 1945, however during the closing down checks the flight engineer's parachute straps caught on the aircraft's undercarriage lever without him or the pilot realising. As he moved the level had been shifted, causing the wheels to fold and the aircraft was damaged as it struck the ground.
