Meteor at East Moor airfield.

On an unknown date in the mid-1950's a Meteor made a landing on one of the disused runways of East Moor airfield. Brian Shields recorded in his book on East Moor that the pilot walked to nearby Low Carr Farm to get assistance and after some time the aircraft took off and was flown out dispite the very overgrown state of the runway. The identity of the aircraft is not known, nor are any other details.
