Mainair Blade G-CEGM at Baxby Manor, Husthwaite.
At 13.00hrs on 18th September 2008 this aircraft lost power soon after taking off from a civilian airstrip at
Husthwaite, lost height and crashed into a hedge a the end of the airstrip injuring the two who were on the
aircraft. The aircraft was badly damaged. The resulting investigation found that the cause for the loss
of power was almost certainly due to the aircraft being previously filled with old contaminated fuel.
Pilot - Name unknown, seriously injured.
Passenger - Name unknown, slightly injured.
