Europa XS G-CBWF at Wombleton.

On 25th September 2003 this aircraft was landing at Wombleton aerodrome after a formation flying event with other Europa aircraft for the purpose of air-to-air photography. There were two on board this aircraft, the owner and an experienced formation flying pilot who did not know the owner of the aircraft but had been introduced to him by the organisers of the Europa event. What the owner did not know at the time of landing that the pilot was actually not experienced on flying that type of aircraft. On touching down the aircraft's nose wheel touched first and the aircraft bounced back into the air. By the time the aircraft came to a halt there was damage to the nose wheel and propeller and the engine mounting. The two on board both escaped uninjured.
