Bleriot XI 3232 near Scarborough.
The aircraft was wrecked in a forced landing near Scarborough aerodrome
on 31st July 1916 following an anti-Zeppelin patrol. The pilot survived but no further details are known.

Arthur Kidner learnt to fly at the Curtiss School, Toronto where he gained his aviators certificate on
23rd November 1915 (Certificate No.2082). Nothing more is known of his after 1915.
The Bleriot was built by Bleriot and purchased for the RNAS, it was delivered to RNAS Redcar in July 1915
but transferred to D-Flight at Hornsea/Atwick in a dis-assembled state by road on 14th July 1915. It was erected and tested on 16th July
but suffered repairable damage to the fuselage and engine on it's test flight. It was dismantled and returned to Redcar for
repair the next day. It was then transferred to RNAS Scarborough H.D. Flt on 19th October 1915 and moved to Hornsea/Atwick on 30st October
1915 but was back with Scarborough Home Defence Flight on 27th January 1916. It carried out an Anti-Zeppelin Patrol on 11th February 1916 and was
force landed and damaged 31st July 1916. It was considered not worth repairing and was deleted 15th August 1916.
