Aircraft accidents in Teesside/Cleveland - VE Day to Current. This list contains details of all losses since the end of the Second World War in the Teesside area. Thankfully the number of incidents is low but many of these incidents I am asked about with regular frequency. Thornaby airfield was still in use for a number of years after the War but has now gone and is now built over. Civilian flying takes place in the area from a number of sites. Whilst the area was once Yorkshire it is now Cleveland and the incidents post 1972 actually occured is Cleveland and technically have no link to "Yorkshire" but they fell in an area what was Yorkshire. These Teesside webpages are slowly being updated and will be moved over to the main "Yorkshire" section to the website in due course.
