Hudson T9337 at Thornaby airfield.

On 21st September 1943 this aircraft was damaged at Thornaby airfield, whilst taxing it tipped over onto it's nose presumably after the pilot braked too hard. No further details are known.

Hudson T9337 was built by Lockheed-Vega at Burbank, California and purchased without contract by the B.P.C. and was delivered by sea to the UK arriving in September 1940. After assembly and acceptance at MU it was issued to 269 Squadron at Wick in late 1940. It was transferred to 224 Squadron at Leuchars in early 1941 and then back to 269 Squadron at Wick from where it was transferred to storage in March 1941 before being issued to 1 (c)OTU at Silloth. It moved with the unit to Thornaby in March 1943. The damage at Thornaby resulted in it being deemed beyond repair and it was written off with Cat.E/FA damage being recorded.
