On 23rd September 1943 this aircraft was damaged beyond repair following a taxying accident at Thornaby airfield,
possibly after striking another aircraft. No further details are yet known.

Hudson P5148 was built to contract 791587/38 by Lockheed-Vega at Burbank, California and delivered to the UK by sea, arriving in June
1940. After assembly and acceptance at MU it was issued to 269 Squadron at Wick in late 1940. It was transferred into storage in March 1941
when the unit ceased using MkI Hudson's. Shortly afterwards it was issued to 1 (c)OTU at Silloth before being transferred to 206 Squadron
at Aldergrove in late 1941 and served with them until the unit ceased using MkI Hudson's in August 1942. The aircraft was then moved back to
1 (c)OTU at Silloth and it moved with the unit to Thornaby in March 1943. After assessment following this accident at Thornaby in September 1943 Cat.E/FA damage was recorded and it was written off.
