Avro 504 N6148 was built by The Sunbeam Motor Co. Ltd. at Wolverhampton and delivered to RNAS Redcar by road transport
on 8th March 1817. Here it was assembled, tested and accepted on 28th March 1917. It suffered two previous minor accidents
at Redcar in May and July 1917 (detailed on this website) at Redcar. Following the third incident at Redcar, as detailed
above, it was initially deemed as being repairable but there is no record of this being done and when the assessor arrived
at Redcar in December 1917 it was surveyed on 7th December 1917 and deleted from stock as "wrecked" on 14th December 1917.
