Longhorn N5058 near Redcar.

On 4th July 1917 this aircraft crashed in the Redcar area and sustained some damage.

Pilot - Name unknown.


Longhorn N5058 was built by Brush E.E. Co. Ltd at Lougborough and was delivered to CSD at White City from where it was dispatched for assembly to RNAS Killingholme on 24th February 1917. It was later transferred to RNAS Redcar on 22nd April 1917. There is no indication that the aircraft was actually repaired following the mishap on 4th July 1917 and after assessment on 7th December 1917 it was deleted for use as spares on 14th December 1917.
