On the 10th of October 1936 this aircraft struck another Hart (K5814) which was parked at Thornaby damaging both aircraft slightly. Cat R/FA damage being sustained. It was later repaired and returned to service. It suffered a final Cat W/FA accident on 11th February 1938 and it was struck off charge on 13th April 1938 with total flying time being 351.55 hours.

The aircraft was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers Ltd at Weybridge and delivered to 9 FTS on 8th April 1936.
