Hart near Thornaby.

On the 27th of May 1936 the pilot of this aircraft became lost in bad weather, he made a forced landing somewhere, in a cornfield. The aircraft overturned, but was recovered and repaired. The pilot was unhurt, Cat R/FA damaged being sustained. The aircraft was later repaired.

The aircraft was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers at Weybridge and delivered to 9 FTS on the 20th of March 1936. Following this accident at Thornaby it was then damaged again in a Cat R/FA accident on the 10th of August 1937, and then a Cat W/FA accident on the 6th of September 1917, it was finally SOC on the 12th of October 1937 with 324.20 hrs total flying time.
