Audax K5247 was built to contract 389426/35 by Bristol at Filton and delivered to 9 FTS on an unknown date. It suffered Cat.R/FA damage
in this collission at Thornaby and was later returned to service before being damaged again in a Cat.R/FA accident on 29th November 1938.
It was not repaired after this second incident and was given a Maintenance Serial 1236M on 19th January 1939 and was probably converted into
an instructional airframe.
